Biography

Adaeze U.P Ejike-Alieji is a Lecture and Meteorologist with the Meteorology Unit, Centre for Climate and Development, Alex Ekwueme Federal University, Ndufu-Alike (AE-FUNAI). She holds a B.Sc. degree in Geography from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, and an M.Sc. degree in Climatology from the University of Uyo, Uyo. Adaeze also holds a Diploma in Climate Literacy from the University of British Columbia, Canada. Prior to her postgraduate studies, she had served (for NYSC purposes) at the Department of Soil Science and Agro-climatology, Michael Okpara University of Agriculture, Umudike, with a cross-posting at the Meteorology Unit of the National Root Crops Research Institute, Umudike. Beyond the research experience she gained working on the impact of climate variability on rice yield for her M.Sc. thesis, she has first-hand experience working in weather stations and dealing with data related to climate science. She also gained some experience working on aboriginal health geographics at the University of Winnipeg, Canada. Her diverse experience in climate matters has resulted in presentations at conferences and some publications, including a very recent paper published in an internationally acclaimed leading journal, Local Environment and an article in Climate change Management Handbook , Springer Nature edited by Leal Filho
